Atlas Studios
Atlas Studios has over 3,000 m² of organic, industrial backdrops, with beautiful natural light cascading in through more than forty 2.5-metre-high windows throughout the studios.
Atlas Studios’ stunning original 19th-century wooden-floored Main Room and slate-floored Stone Room feature original paint peeling atmospherically from the walls, along with colourful cast-iron columns throughout both spaces, providing organic industrial backdrops at every turn.
Perhaps you would be more interested in Atlas Studios’ wide stone staircases, flooded with natural light from the 3-metre-high windows, or the original features hanging from the ceilings and walls?
Atlas Studios’ striking pallet wall was constructed using over forty pallets to create a highly regarded backdrop—widely used in film and photography—which offers incredible texture, bronzed wood, and abundant natural light from the original windows beside it.

Our Spaces
4 distinct rooms from the Cotton industry, all giving unique industrial backdrops providing a canvas for your creativity.
The Green Room
Room with the original wooden floor throughout which is intersected by concrete and steel panels on the floor.
Large windows throughout the room allowing natural light to be plentiful. If the conditions allow it the evening light falls on the west facing windows and the setting sun cascades across the main room along its full length.
Colourful poles are positioned every 10 metres throughout the main room.
The Stone Room
Room with original slate flooring throughout the room and features from its time as a cotton mill.
Smaller rooms are located within this room, as is a metal staircase (which leads to nowhere!) which is very stable and safe to use.
The majority of windows (of which there are over 20, all approximately 3 m in height) have a frosted glass giving a very soft diffused light within the room.
The colours within the room are all muted greens, creams and greys, meaning any film or photographic work using bright colours will be visually stunning.
Our Studio room is a black studio.
We have 4 Bowens 500 pro lights which are included in the hire price along with the vinyl or paper backdrops.

The Main Room
Our White room is a contrast to the rest of the studios. A clean Contemporary space which can be used as an R & R room, or it can be removed off all furniture and used as another shooting space.
The Green room is our talent dressing room. Warm and comfortable with plenty of hanging space for clothing requirements.
Our Prop room houses everything we have built over the ten years being open. From railway luggage and suitcases to early 19th century chairs. We have a vast array of props for your creative use, just drop us a message to see what we have for your shoot.
